Prepare to get emotional as we look back on the success of the It Gets Better Project and look forward to an even brighter future!

Five years ago the It Gets Better Project took the internet by storm and managed to change - and maybe even save - thousands of lives. It all started when Dan Savage and Terry Miller posted the first-ever "It Gets Better" video, recounting personal stories from their childhoods of being bullied for being gay and urging young people in similar situations to realize that it gets better. This kicked off the It Gets Better Project, a nonprofit organization Dan and Terry founded to provide support and hope for LGBT youth. Additionally, countless "It Gets Better" videos started showing up online, with people all over the world sharing their personal stories and the message that it does truly get better. Now, the It Gets Better Project is partnering with Team One to start the "5 Years Better" campaign, which invites people like President Obama and Ellen DeGeneres, who made videos five years ago, to create a new video.  Check it out.

According to a press release, the "5 Years Better" campaign invites people to "create and submit their own films commemorating the key moments that made a difference and committing to make the next five years even better." Get more info on the "5 Years Better" campaign and submit your own video at this link. We can't wait to see what kind of inspiring content this new project brings about, and here's to an even more successful next five years ahead!
