Pope Francis is worried about gay clergy members in the Catholic Church. As previously reported by PRIDE, in an exerpt from the book The Strength of a Vocation (which includes a transcription of a recent interview with the Pope) the pontiff reportedly stated, "The issue of homosexuality is a very serious issue that must be adequately discerned from the beginning with candidates [for priesthood]."
"In our societies it even seems that homosexuality is fashionable and that mentality, in some way, also influences the life of the church," the 81-year-old religious leader continued.
"This is something I am concerned about, because perhaps at one time it did not receive much attention."
Well the God Twitter account, who has over 5.5. million followers, responded to the Pope’s “worry” in a tweet that has now gone viral with over 15,000 likes.
"And I'm 'worried' about a Pope who 'worries' about gays (not a problem) instead of legions of predatory pedophiles (big, big problem)," God tweeted.
I may be an atheist, but I think I’m going to have to agree with God on this one...
