President Donald Trump has for years insisted he loves women, even as he set in motion the reversal of federal abortion rights and blocked enforcement of equal pay regulations. Still, women in politics have stood by the GOP leader — often only to face his public wrath after crossing him. Getting into the WNBA’s business and being transphobic? In tennis, that’s called a double fault. 
On Sunday, tennis icon Martina Navratilova — whose descent into the anti-trans movement has rapidly escalated since she first publicly opposed trans women in sports in 2019 — helped spread the rumor that the WNBA is purposefully harboring and hiding a transgender player. That conspiracy theory appears to have been introduced into the increasingly toxic discourse around the WNBA by Yankees minority owner Patrick Bet-David.

After decades of hard-fought battles to include more queer characters on television, the Federal Communications Commission is toying with the idea of adding warning labels to all TV shows with LGBTQ+ content, but the general public is not on board.
In response to an FCC Public Notice considering the addition of a new “warning label” on family shows that include LGBTQ+ characters, stories, or themes, GLAAD conducted an analysis of the public comments that were filed and discovered that 80% rejected the proposed warning labels.

Victor Willis, the co-founder and lead singer of the disco singing group that President Donald Trump has made a staple of his events, Village People, died Tuesday, according to the band. He died one day before his birthday at the age of 74.
Willis was the one in the group dressed as a police officer, and wrote all of the group's most famous songs, including its biggest hit: "Y.M.C.A."

The County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s office announced on Monday that actress Daveigh Chase — who starred in films such as Donnie Darko, The Ring and lent her voice to Spirited Away and Lilo & Stitch — died due to complications related to an AIDS diagnosis. Chase was 35 at the time of her death, which occurred on June 16.
