Rightwing mouthpiece Bill O'Reilly sounded off calling Kelly McGillis a 'pinhead' for her
SheWired interview on
Girl Rockin which she declared her lesbianism.
In one of his standard rants on his
Fox News show
The O'Reilly Factor, O'Reilly said, "As they say, different strokes. But I still believe that people who put their private lives out there for consumption are pinheads."
Star of eighties juggernaut films
Top Gun and
Witness and the Oscar-nominated
The Accused, McGillis was long-rumored to be a lesbian, but it wasn't until she told
SheWired video blogger Jennifer Corday in
Girl Rock that her next partner would definitely be a woman and that she was "done with the man thing," that McGillis made a very public admission about her sexuality.
Apparently, McGillis' candid admission, during which she said she had struggled with her sexuality since she was 12 and then she'd feared God was angry with her for being gay, inflamed O'Reilly enough for him to spout off about the 51-year-old actress.
