RuPaul has always been a political queen. He fiercely supported Hillary Clinton, asking people before 2016's Presidential election, "Do you want a pompous braggart who doesn't know anything about diplomacy? Or do you want a badass bitch who knows how to get shit done?"
Now, Mama Ru wants you to get out and vote during the midterm elections.
In a recent tweet, RuPaul said:
"Do you love RuPaul’s Drag Race? Well, we love giving it to you. And here’s how you can give back: Go to vote.gov to find out how you can register. And then, on November 6, you better vote, sis!"
As we all know by now, the 2018 midterm elections are critical. Shaking up congress could heavily reduce Trump’s power in office. If Democrats were able to secure a majority in the House of Representatives and/or the Senate, that would be huge. There are 35 senate seats up for election on November 6. 26 are from Democrats (including the seats of two independents who caucus with them) and Republicans have nine senators up for election! If we can keep all the current Democratic senatorial seats and flip just a few Republican seats, boy oh boy, would that be some good news. So get out there and make sure to vote!
