Tiffany Monroe shared the text she received from a new guy.

We hear way too many news stories about cisgender men discovering they’re dating or even just talking to a transgender woman and striking out in fear and violence.

It’s a fucked up way for our society to still function, and makes every story to the opposite feel like a breath of fresh air.

Which is probably why, when Tiffany Monroe posted a screenshot of a dude’s response to finding out she’s trans, the internet basically melted.

“Honestly I ain’t worried too much about that if that’s the case,” he texted. “I mean you a woman and I ain’t gay so what you talking about exactly.”

He added: “It’s 2019. I’m a grown man your past shouldn’t matter like that.”

While the tweet obviously brought out some transphobic trolls who have nothing better to do with their time, Tiffany and her new man also received an overwhelmingly amount of supportive and positivity.

For her part, Tiffany is using her 15 minutes of internet fame as an opportunity to share her journey and education some of her new followers who are genuinely interested in learning more about her experience as a young trans woman, hosting Q&As on her feed and even uploading a video to YouTube about her transition.

We’re not sure if her mystery texter knows he went viral for being a decent cis dude in 2019, but hopefully he’s out there somewhere being the casual ally his text suggests he is.
