Adam Lambert just opened the 91st Academy Awards with a stellar performance of Queen hits.

The openly gay American Idol runner-up, who just released an emotional new single last week, rocked the mainstage with Queen's "We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions."

Bohemian Rhapsody, the Queen biopic based on Freddie Mercury's life, is nominated for five Oscars tonight including Best Picture.
