We're seriously a mess over here.

Canadian comedy series Schitt's Creek aired the sweetest coming out episode on Pop TV last night, and fans still haven't recovered.

Nearing the end of its fifth season, this heartwarming indie series is about the super-wealthy Rose family who lose their fortune and have to move to a quirky small town called Schitt's Creek, which they once bought as a joke. The show was created by comedy legend Eugene Levy and his son Daniel Levy, who also star alongside Catherine O'Hara and Annie Murphy.

Daniel Levy's character David came out as pansexual early in the series, and his endearing romance with his business partner Patrick (Noah Reid) quickly became a fan favorite over the past two seasons.

But in last night's episode, we found out that Patrick hadn't come out to his parents yet—and the way Schitt's Creek handled this deeply personal moment will bring you to tears.

Between this scene and this morning's announcement that the show has been renewed for one last season, we're going to be deep in our feelings all day.
