And a premiere date!

We brought the news to you last May that Queer Eye star Tan France was set to co-host a new fashion competition show for Netflix, and now we have even better news — the trailer for the show is finally here.

Next in Fashion sees France hosting alongside designer and former model Alexa Chung as 18 designers battle for a prize of $250,000 and the chance to debut their collection on Net-a-Porter.

As previously reported, the competitors are people who have worked with major brands and various celebrities over the course of their careers, priming them for the shot at becoming a household fashion name themselves.

The trailer features dramatic lighting and a few hints at potential catchphrases — a staple of any reality show attempting to permeate the collective social consciousness. We also get a first look at some of the designers who will be competing over the ten episode run, though of course we’ll have to wait until the show premieres to match designs with designers.

It’s unclear from this brief two minutes what all will set this show apart from the best-known fashion competition show, Project Runway, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Especially with Project Runway in something like its 400th season, with new hosts and the best kind of drama. When something works, you want more of it.

And we’ll be getting just that, and soon — Next in Fashion premieres on Netflix January 29th.
