Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley reprise their roles as A.C. Slater and Jesse Spanoreturn to return to Bayside High in the upcoming reboot of classic teen sitcom, Saved by the Bell!

"When California governor Zack Morris gets into hot water for closing too many low-income high schools, he proposes they send the affected students to the highest performing schools in the state—including Bayside High," the show's official description reads. "The influx of new students gives the over-privileged Bayside kids a much needed and hilarious dose of reality."

Actress Josie Totah plays Lexi in the show, “a beautiful, sharp-tongued cheerleader and the most popular girl at Bayside High, who is both admired and feared by her fellow students,” Variety reports.

Totah came out as transgender in 2018 in a poignant letter. "Hiding my true self is not healthy. I know now, more than ever, that I’m finally ready to take this step toward becoming myself. I’m ready to be free," she wrote.

It seems Totah's Saved by the Bell character might be cisgender, but we'll just have to wait and see how her sure-to-be hilarious storyline plays out.

According to NewNowNext, "returning Saved by the Bell stars Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Tiffani Thiessen are not seen in the teaser because filming was halted due to the coronavirus pandemic."

Saved by the Bell is heading soon to NBC's streaming service, Peacock, which launches in July. Watch the trailer below!
