Even Trixie & Katya Think ‘Elite’ Season 5 Is Too Horny

"Ain't nobody that hot in high school, mama."

Elite's steamy fifth season premiered on Netflix earlier this month and it is as scandalous as it is gay. In their YouTube series I Like To Watch, RuPaul's Drag Race stars Trixie & Katya sit down for the wild ride that is the beloved Spanish teen drama to share their live reactions – and it is as hilarious as you'd expect.

"This might as well be a science fiction movie for me because ain't nobody that hot in high school mama," says Katya.

The clips they watch largely focus on the LGBTQ+ characters. Rebe and Mencia attempt to figure out their relationship ("There's no drama like lesbian drama," Trixie says.) while Patrick develops feelings for his new straight friend. But when they aren't reciprocated, Patrick pivots to seducing Ivan's dad.

If you're not familiar with the show, the many scandalous sex scenes can be a bit... jarring. "Compared to Bridgerton, this show is a little more Fast and the Furious," says Trixie. Katya adds, "No, this show is Dawson's 50 Load Weekend."

Both queens can't imagine having these kinds of characters available on TV when they were growing up, and note how far we've come in terms of representation.

"Even though it's so outrageous, I love gay people being able to be gay and also complicated and also messy and maybe even villainous," says Katya.

Season 5 of Elite is out now. Watch this segment of I Like To Watch below:
