Fans of MTV's teen lesbian(ish) dramedy Faking It officially have a lot to look forward to this season. First off, it looks like Amy could have a new love interest following her rocky situation with BFF/crush interest Karma. Yvette Monreal has been cast Reagan, a character the Hollywood Reporter described as, "a hip, edgy lesbian with a rebellious streak. She's a cater-waiter by day and DJ by night who is fiercely out and proud and independent with a husky voice and sexy confidence who supports herself and her music career with odd jobs." Yvette's no stranger to MTV, she's previously appeared on it's original show Awkward. For a tiny sneak peak of her character Reagan, Yvette's also posted a video on Instagram breaking down her new, Faking It inspired hairstyle:
Joining the cast will also be Laverne Cox, who we all know and love as Sophia on Orange is the New Black. Laverne will be playing Margot, the demanding drama teacher of the school's elite drama club. With updates like this we'll just have to to tune into the second season premiere on September 23rd!
