Gianna Floyd, George Floyd's six-year-old daughter, is now a Disney shareholder thanks to Barbra Streisand.
George Floyd died last month in Minneapolis after officer Derek Chauvin pressed his knee on his neck for nearly nine minutes. His death, along with several others, sparked the recent #BlackLivesMatter protests that have taken place all over the world.
The 78-year-old Broadway legend gifted an unknown number of Disney shares, along with her albums My Name Is Barbra and Color Me Barbra to Floyd, who shared the news on Instagram.
"Thank You @barbrastreisand for my package, I am now a Disney Stockholder thanks to you," the caption reads.
Streisand isn't the only celebrity to reach out to the Floyd family. According to CNN, Kanye West set up "a college fund for her as a part of his $2 million donation to support the families of Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and Breonna Taylor."
Texas Southern University also offered Gianna a full scholarship to attend the historically black college in Houston. Giana's GoFundMe page has raised over $2 million.
