Montreal’s Queer of the Year contest wants YOU to enter to be named the city’s most-deserving queer of the year. The QOTY contest welcomes all who identify as queer from around the globe to vie fro the title. The contest will be held in Montreal from seventh to 15th August 2011.

Noxolo Nogwaza was murdered in Kwa Thema Township outside Johannesburg on April 24, according to AFP. She was a member of the gay rights group the Ekurhuleni Pride Organizing Committee.
