The Kids are All Right director Lisa Cholodenko will be among those honored at UCLA’s Festival of New Creative Work 2011, presented by the School of Theater, Film & Television (TFT), which runs from June 3-9, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Oscar nominee Cholodenko for The Kids Are All Right will be awarded with the Filmmaker of the Year award on June 9. Cholodenko is also known for directing the lesbian-themed films High Art and Laurel Canyon. She’s also directed episodes of Hung, The L Word and Six Feet Under, for television.
Dream Works CEO and Co-chairman Stacey Snider and film producer and political activist Lawrence Bender are also being honored.
