"True Blood's' Janina Gavankar Tells LGBT Teens 'It Gets Better!' VIDEO

True Blood's Janina Gavankar, who played Papi on season 4 of The L Word has released one of the most succinct, adorable “It Gets Better” videos out there. The 27-year-old actress, who played a lesbian lothario who challenged Shane's reign as the biggest tom-cat on the L Word block and who now plays True Blood's hottest shapeshifter, has joined her TB cast mates Anna Paquin, Rutina Wesley, Kristen Bauer van Straten and Alexander Skarsgard in releasing an “It Gets Better” videos aimed at empowering LGBT teens and combating bullying.

True Blood's Janina Gavankar, who played Papi on season 4 of  The L Word has released one of the most succinct, adorable “It Gets Better” videos out there.

The 27-year-old actress, who played a lesbian lothario who challenged Shane's reign as the biggest tom-cat on the L Word block and who now plays True Blood's hottest shapeshifter, has joined her TB cast mates Anna Paquin, Rutina Wesley, Kristen Bauer van Straten and Alexander Skarsgard in releasing an “It Gets Better” videos aimed at empowering LGBT teens and combating bullying.

“If you're gay, straight, artistic, busier than everybody else because you actually have a life and something interesting to think about besides the gossip and they hate you for it, that's okay,” Gavankar says in the video in which she admits she was bullied in school. “I know what all of those girls are doing now and I'm okay…”
