Have you been watching Torchwood: Miracle Day on Starz? Fans of the BBC jewels Doctor Who and the original Torchwood can vouch, it is some seriously thrilling, sexy, LGBT-inclusive, and fun original programming from Queer as Folk creator Russell T. Davies.
With a precious few episodes left before the finale, a supporting female character on Torchwood: Miracle Day is revealed as a lesbian. AfterEllen teased the new LGBT-ers identity, but alas, it’s not dark-haired South Welsh beauty Gwen Cooper (Eve Myles).
AE.com’s TV insider reports:
CIA analyst Charlotte Wills. You remember her as Esther's best friend. And also as the Three Families' mole within the CIA. Her sexuality doesn't play a big role in the final two episodes, but it does get a shout out to remind us that the Three Families are living among us, just like regular people.
Rex: Hey, you been here all night? Don't you have a home to go to?
Charlotte Wills: Not anymore. She left me, remember?
Rex: Oh, s--t. Sorry.
Charlotte Wills:Because of the hours you imposed.
It's not much, but it's nice to know Russell T. Davies is thinking of us. I confess, once I realized she's a lesbian, I started rooting for her to reform herself. I won't tell you how that turns out, but I will tell you Charlotte makes one decision that made me gasp out loud.
