The Talk co-host --  and beloved star of Roseanne-- Sara Gilbert opened up about her recent breakup with long-term partner Ali Adler on Friday’s episode of The Talk.

Matriarch of the Kardashian clan, Kris Jenner, and The Talk guest kicked off the segment entitled is “Marriage All It’s Cracked Up to Be?”  by praising her two long-term marriage -- her first to Robert Kardashian, who passed away, and her second of 20 years to Olympic great Bruce Jenner.

“I feel lucky,” Jenner said of her marriages. “I want my kids to feel the same way.”

Various other of The Talk's hosts chimed in on their marriages but Gilbert remained mum on the subject for a few minutes before she chimed in.

“I feel like I don’t know if marriage is all it’s cracked up to be,” Gilbert said, becoming visibly emotional.  I’ve never been married, but I was in a long relationship… Its emotional for me, because we’re not together.”

Gilbert and television producer and writer Adler were together for 10 years and they are continuing to co-parent their children. The actress continued to reflect on her relationship saying, “I wouldn’t trade that time. It’s such a special time in my life. But then you see people in their seventies and you go, “How do people do it?” How do they make it last? I would like to be able to think that I can.”
