Critically acclaimed web series Seeking Simone is back for another season of personal growth, professional humiliation, hot girl-on-girl action and some...just really awkward moments in online dating. From the glamour of the Canadian red carpet to the horror of a fan-gone-wrong, Simone and her pushy best friend Audrey navigate the gay dating waters with their usual panache - and plenty of gin.
Although centered in the LGBT community, Seeking Simone is a comedy for anyone who's ever dared to date - and lived to cringe forever over the tale.
Co-Creators of the series, Renée Olbert (also the show’s star) and Rosemary Rowe (writer) say they were inspired to create this series because we felt that we had a premise that was able to use comedy to explore the universal themes of love, heartbreak and the blinding terror that comes with reentering the dating world, armed with only a computer and your online profile.
More importantly, as two openly gay women, we created Seeking Simone because we all crave stories about ourselves. We in the LGBT community yearn to see more fully developed LGBT characters in our mainstream entertainment.
Ep. 2.5 - "Leslie" - "With the grief-stricken wallowing over her break-up with Sylvia complete, Simone finally picks out a date herself. Her name is Leslie. And she is an accountant."
