The official trailer has dropped for director Anne Renton’s The Perfect Family, the film festival hit that stars Kathleen Turner as Eileen Cleary, a Catholic mom vying for the title of Catholic Woman of the Year. Bones’ Emily Deschanel plays Eileen’s lesbian daughter in the throes of planning her wedding to her partner, played by Angelique Cabral.

If a lesbian daughter weren't enough to hinder her shot at the title Eileen’s wayward son, played by Jason Ritter, and alcoholic husband, add to her woes as she goes up against her nemesis Agnes Dunn (Sharon Lawrence) for a shot at Catholic Woman of the Year.

Out actor Richard Chamberlain, who famously played a priest in the mini series The Thorn Birds, dons the robes again to play a monsignor.

The film is set for release in theaters May 5.
