Elisha Cuthbert Channels Ellen DeGeneres on 'Happy Endings'

Everyone was in on the joke on this week’s episode of my new favorite show, Happy Endings, an episode in which the entire cast band together to make hilarity out of recycled sitcom plots (like Three's Company's enduring landlord gags). And while the best of this series often revolves around the guys, including Damon Wayans Jr. (of course) as Brad and Adam Pally as gay-but-not-cliche Max, this time Elisha Cuthbert stole the entire show by channeling her inner Ellen DeGeneres.

From her insistence on bringing penis decor to a baby shower to her unbridled love of salsa (the dance and the condiment), Cuthbert's Alex was a constant crack up. But when Penny insisted Alex become a lesbian, there was no second guessing. Alex showed up at the party dressed a lot like Ellen, telling her friends how excited she was to be going lesbian and to do it right she was going "right to the top." That meant collared shirt, vest, loafers, and a lot of excitement when introduced to Kat, an actual lesbian (who happened to also be super hot).
