Celebs Stand Up for Ousted Lesbian Den Mother in Honor of Mother's Day - Julianne Moore, Fran Drescher and More...

Julianne Moore, Fran Drescher and Jane Leeves joined Josh Hutcherson, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and the cast of Glee in support of Jennifer Tyrrell, the Ohio Tiger Scout leader who was fired from her position as den leader strictly because of her sexual orientation.

Since her termination, Tyrrell has launched a Change.org petition, asking the Boy Scouts of America to reconsider its policy against gay youth and leaders.  So far nearly 300,000 Americans have signed, calling for the Scouts to end their ban.

"By keeping this policy, the Boy Scouts of America are hurting young children and teaching them that discrimination is okay,” Tyrrell has said.

And today, Change.org and GLAAD, launched a Mother's Day campaign in support.  Julianne Moore took to Twitter saying, “Dear @boyscouts, on Mother's Day I support Jennifer & ALL moms, gay & straight!”

Jennifer Tyrrell has said she was initially hesitant to take her position with the organization because of the Boy Scouts of America's stance against homosexuality. A year later, she was elected treasurer of her pack, and uncovered inconsistencies in the pack's finances. When she shed light on the fiscal discrepancies, she was then told she could not return to her position because she is a lesbian.
