Concussion, Stacie Passon’s lesbian-themed feature made an impact at Sundance last week, so much so that RADiUS-TWC has picked it up for distribution, according to Indiewire.
The film stars Robin Weigert (Deadwood’s Calamity Jane) as a married lesbian housewife who, following a blow to the head, takes up as an escort in Manhattan.
Executive produced by Anthony Cup and Cliff Chenfield and produced by Rose Troche of Go Fish fame, Concussion costars Maggie Siff (Mad Men, Sons of Anarchy), Laila Robbins, Julie Fain Lawrence, Emily Kinney and Johnathan Tchaikovsky.
RADiUS-TWC, which distributed the indie comedy Bachelorette that stars Kirsten Dunst, Isla Fisher and Lizzie Caplan, is planning an early fall release for Concussion.
