Yesterday, the lovely and talented Portia De Rossi turned 40, and Ellen DeGeneres used the opening monologue on her daytime talk show to celebrate her wife with a hilarious and ultimately touching tribute.
Featuring guest appearances from out actor Sean Hayes — who played Ellen while DeGeneres was donning a long blonde wig and portraying De Rossi — the funny lady recreated De Rossi's birth, career, and even the couple's 2008 wedding, complete with musical accompaniment from Josh Radin. When DeGeneres invited her wife on stage, De Rossi was in happy tears.Â
