Pretty Little Liars fans can rest assured that Rosewood’s favorite foursome may be sticking around until Emily, Spencer, Hanna and Aria are in graduate school with ABC Family’s big news today that the wildly addictive teen mystery series has been renewed for a 5th season! That means more PLL until at least until the middle of 2015.
In addition to the unprecedented news of a 5th season even before the 4th season has aired, the powers that be also announced that PLL is getting a spin-off called Ravenswood, from PLL creators Marlene King and Oliver Goldstick, according to the Huffington Post.

The spin-off, featuring some of PLL’s secondary characters including CeCe, Jason DiLaurentis and Noel Kahn, focuses on "five strangers who suddenly find themselves connected by this fatal curse and need to dig into the town's mysterious and terrible history before it's too late for each of them."
This October’s annual PLL Halloween special will introduce Ravenswood to viewers, Huff-Po reported.
"'Pretty Little Liars is brand-defining and demo-defining for ABC Family. We are proud to be able to grow the PLL franchise in two ways -- both by adding additional seasons of the original and by extending the storytelling into a spin-off. 'Ravenswood' will become another 'must-tweet-TV' series for us," ABC Family President Michael Riley said in a statement.”
Recently PLL made the cover of Entertainment Weekly in an article about the show’s social networking prowess entitled “The Surprising Power of Pretty Little Liars: How this Twisty Over-the-Top Teen Mystery is Changing TV.”
We personally cannot wait to see what’s in store for the Liars, especially for Rosewood’s favorite lesbian couple Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Paige (Lindsey Shaw). At this rate PLL may be around long enough to see Emily become the executive director of GLAAD.
