We've previously reported on Amazonian beauty Casey Legler, the New York-based artist who models exclusively for Ford Models' men's line. Earlier this week, Legler appeared on CNN's Starting Point to talk about her latest gig.
Responding to the host's aghast question about how Ford Models could sign a woman to its men's model roster, Legler replied with characteristic composure and aplomb. "I don't think it was that they didn't care," said Legler. "I mean, they saw me walk in and were like, She obviously belongs on our men's board."
As a former professional swimmer — she competed for the U.S. at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta — Legler says she's always been aware of how to carry a message through her body. "I have always used my body to carry the narrative, of what I'm doing" Legler said. "So in a way, this modeling is just an extension of that."
