ABC Family’s latest LGBT-inclusive series The Fosters, executive produced by Jennifer Lopez, airs June 3, and its stars are currently making the rounds to discuss the show that features Sherri Saum and Teri Polo as lesbian moms raising a family of biological and adopted kids.

At a recent HRC event, TraipsingThurFilms interviewed Saum, who plays mom and school principal Lena on the series, and Cierra Ramirez who plays one of the kids. They praised ABC Family’s groundbreaking inclusivity.

The network’s benchmark programming has featured LGBT characters on Greek, Pretty Little Liars and The Secret Life of the American Teen.
