Pretty Little Liar Shay Mitchell Dishes About What is Next for Paily

Pretty Little Liars star Shay Mitchell recently chatted with Wetpaint about just what will go  down between her character Emily and her girlfriend Paige (Lindsey Shaw)  when the show returns on June 11. She also weighed in on what it’s like to be a role model, and what’s down the pike for the Liars of Rosewood.

“We have a lot of great scenes for all those Paily shippers out there,” Mitchell said of Emily and Paige’s relationship.  “There will be a lot of special moments between those two, which I always love. Working with Lindsey is such a blast.”

In addition to filming the show, Mitchell will be a participant in the 2013 Acuvue 1 Day Contest, where fans can shoot a video describing their "1-Day dream" and could win one of seven trips to be mentored by an Acuvue celebrity including Shay, Demi Lovato, Joe Jonas, Dwight Howard, and more.

“That’s why I love playing Emily, and I think all of the girls are each a role model for a lot of different girls because they’re each dealing with different things,” Mitchell said.  “For me, in my personal life, it’s amazing because high school is such a tough place. I had the worst time when I first got to high school. It was lonely, and so if I could share a little bit of my advice with someone else, that would be really amazing.”

For those of you who are wondering whether or not Emily will continue to push to expose A she said, “Yeah! I think ever since Emily came out, there was a point in Season 2 where everyone was calling her “badass Emily,” Mitchell said.  “She started to come out of her shell, and she became a lot stronger. Now she’s leading the situation, going in head first, which is really cool to play. “

Pretty Little Liars is set to return for season 4 on Tuesday, June 11, on ABC Family.
