On the second night of The Voice’s live shows of the season Team Shakira’s out rocker Karina Iglesias tackled Al Green’s soul classic “Let’s Stay Together,” a song Coach Shakira chose expressly for her.
Karina nailed the song, melding soulful tones with her signature rock pipes, but the best part of Karina’s appearance occurred prior to her live performance when she said in an interview that she was dedicating the song to Shakira in hopes they’d stay together as a team. Well, after Karina sang the unmistakable love song that she’d dedicated to Shakira, it was tough not to take everything as flirtatious. In her notes following the performance Shakira said that Karina gave her “everything she wanted.” Nice going Karina!
