The Gossip singer Beth Ditto has admitted that she and her new girlfriend Kristen have been discussing starting a family together. She already has plans to get medical advice on getting pregnant once her clothing line for UK plus-size retail store Evans is released.
Before getting together with Kristin, Ditto and her partner Freddie Fagula had a nine year relationship, which ended in January.
As for starting a family, Ditto said: "I want to do it when I'm 37. But I do want to go to the doctor in the next year and start taking it really seriously. Once these clothing lines are out I can take space and think about the baby."
Ditto doesn't hide that she and Kristin, who is also her assistant, were close before the end of her relationship with Freddie, but also insists that she never cheated.
She told Britain's Marie Claire magazine: "It was something that I kept hidden deep inside of me. But everyone knew. Even people are parties and clubs would be like, 'When are they going to get together?' There was always a little guilt inside of me because I felt I was cheating, but I never cheated. We never did anything. I dated Freddie for nine years, and I was always worried it was going to end. With Kristin I never worry about it ending, I just feel completely full and whole."
