Now that the California Supreme Court has overturned the ban on gay marriage and made it legal for Golden State gays to tie the knot, a few of Hollywood’s heavy-hitting same-sex couples have said “I do,” to saying “I do.”

The ink had barely dried on the court’s decision last week when a beaming Ellen Degeneres announced to her studio audience that she and her smokin’ hot partner Portia de Rossi were already planning their nuptials. While a few other famous lesbian couples like Rosie O’Donnell and Kelli Carpenter O’Donnell, Melissa Etheridge and Tammy Lynn Michaels and Cynthia Nixon and Christine Marinoni have yet to weigh in on whether or not they’ll take the official stroll down the aisle, we here at LesbiaNation are fantasizing about would-be wedded women.

Like little girls digging through mom’s memorabilia and donning her veil—or in many cases, dad’s cummerbund— let’s imagine that Hollywood is just one big lesbian playground in which any of our favorite starlets might get hitched.

Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston

For 10 years Friends producers teased the audience with innuendo and behind-closed-doors girl-on-girl kisses between Courteney Cox’s hot control freak Monica and Jennifer Aniston’s self-absorbed Rachel. It's been four years since the series finale and the gals are inseparable real-life BFF’s, so much so that Jennifer has been known to accompany Courteney and her wacky hubby David Arquette and baby Coco on family vacations. Sure Courteney’s happily married, but imagine these two taking a stroll down the aisle together to seal their abiding love and then spending an island honeymoon boogie boarding in matching bikinis.

Penelope Cruz and Salma Hayek

Fiery beauties Penelope Cruz and Salma Hayek raised collective lesbian hopes a year or so ago when they began turning up at Hollywood events arm in arm. The spicy pair’s on-screen chemistry in the so-bad-its-good western Bandidas bubbled over into real life, sending hearts aflutter. A good old fashioned white wedding hacienda style where the full-lipped babes dive into a plate of paella built for two is in order here.

Cate Blanchett and Kate Winslet

Acting powerhouses Cate Blanchett and Kate Winslet would make for majorly steamy drama on the home front. Imagine the family meals between the Queen Blanchett and the cleavage Winslet. Every bite would be like a Shakespearian soliloquy. For their special day, how about they say “I do” at an abandoned castle, with a flautist accompanist, Cate decked out in her armor from the battle scene in Elizabeth: The Golden Age and Kate, sporting an Elizabethan era gown with a plunging neckline showing off her rouged breasts.

Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt

As Meryl Streep’s beleaguered assistants in The Devil Wears Prada, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt rubbed each other the wrong way. But the darling duo blew the roof off of the Kodak Theater co-presenting at the 2007 Academy Awards and pretending to squabble over who was supposed to bring Meryl her latte. Anne has become America’s latest sweetheart while Meryl has referred to Emily, as “the delicious,” Emily Blunt. Now that’s a smokin’ pair of cake toppers. J

Jennifer Beals and Laurel Holloman

The L Word’s premiere couple, Jennifer Beals and Laurel Holloman have developed an on-screen shorthand to their epic love affair that makes a gay girl wish the power-couple were heading home to each other on a daily basis, comparing work notes over red wine and poring over the Sunday New York Times in bed in their tank tops and pajama pants. And from their hot and heavy love scenes, there's no question these two are on fire.

Queen Latifah and Angelina Jolie

Let’s forget for the moment that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are just about the most famous couple on the planet. Dial it back to nine years ago when the producers of The Bone Collector got the love relationship all wrong when they hooked Angelina ‘s character up with Denzel Washington’s. The real fireworks went off on-screen between Angelina and her sizzling co-star Queen Latifah. Who cares about the wedding between these two. This couple’s all about the wedding night!

Maura Tierney and Parminder Nagra

Relationships come and go on ER, straight, gay or otherwise, but the real match-up would be between Maura Tierney’s Abby and Parminder Nagra’s Neela. On-screen this adorable duo has bonded over doing virtual battle in the ER, at turns emotionally propping the other up. Imagine these two cuties swearing “till death do us part,” and sealing it with a kiss and then taunting each other with cake.  There are no objections here.

Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson

A flat-out mess of a couple, perpetually troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan and lesbian D.J. to the stars Samantha Ronson have forged a loving bond over booze and God knows what else. Lindsay’s even prepared to throw down for Samantha’s honor frightening the daylights out of ah hapless Ashley Olsen who attempted to approach Samantha at a club.  It just screams  "I love you forever” that Lindsay shouted “Get your 15-year-old Full House ass away from girlfriend,” at one half of the Olsen empire. Here's the poster couple for the downside to gay marriage: divorce.
