WANTED: Non self-respecting Los Angeles based lesbians for solipsistic reality show piggy backing on The L Word juggernaut. No fatties, real butches, prudes, virgins, sober ladies or broke ass bitches need apply for The Real L Word of Los Angeles.

Okay, so it didn’t really say that but thanks to the keeper of all things Los Angeles Lesbian based, “The Godfather” at BoxedLunch.com, who spotted the little ad, the L Word reality series’ casting call announcement is about to go viral.

“Are you and your friends proof the The L Word exists in real life?” asks the casting call. “Do you want to be part of groundbreaking television? The L Word was a runaway iconic hit, affecting millions of lives – imagine what the real life version will do!”

The casting announcement goes on to credit Showtime, Ilene Chaiken and Magical Elves – and no, the Magical Elves are not Chaiken’s tiny minions who run around carrying her ego behind her like the train of an Academy Award night gown. The ‘Elves are the masterminds behind Project Runway and Top Chef, two gay and lesbian shows, respectively.

The ad further states:

THE REAL L WORD: Los Angeles will follow a group of real-life, high-profile, left coast lesbians as they go about their daily lives, at work and play. The producing team plans to show viewers that the cast can be every bit as glamorous, fashionable, fabulous and even as cutthroat as their celebrated-but-fictional counterparts.

Once the show is cast, Showtime, Ilene and The Magical Elves can market it like a 50’s era horror film! SEE as 12 Los Angeles based straight girls pose as lezzies and tongue each other after four Bloody Marys at the Abbey on a Sunday afternoon. WATCH in disgust as dyke drama busts out between the one monogamous couple over a misplaced fiver in the booty shorts of a Truckstop dancer. YOU’LL hide your eyes as talentless wannabes do Patron shooters at Pink Taco while eating only a cube of jicama and a piece of romaine lettuce. LEER as they do keg stands and to topless cannonballs into the pool at a rented Hollywood Hills’ manse.  HEAR the gurgling of those same half-naked ladies hurling after guzzling mimosas at West Hollywood’s Basix at Sunday Brunch.

Oh…and if you aren’t a size zero Scenester or a high-powered gorgeous former 80’s icon, don’t take the time off from your temp job to audition.  The ad specifies that the marketing gurus who want to focus on real lesbians are looking for Shane and Bette types, because that’s representative of LA’s lesbian community.

If the remaining four dykes who semi fit into the Bette or Shane mold are out there, jobless, hungry for their 15 minutes and are willing to whore themselves out for the same crew that killed Dana, kicked Carmen to the curb and impregnated Max, please contact casting@magicalelves.com

Also, view the video of the livestream from SheWired of "Pillow Talk" in Atlantic City hosted by Lori Michaels with Pam Grier, Mia Kirshner, Rose Rollins, and Kate French. The cast answered questions from the audience about how much they are like their character, who their character is based on, and even got into (it with a couple ladies in the audience) politics.... The video is here!
