What. The. Hell. The results are in and the winner of the most fantastically awkward YouTube video goes to Har Mar Superstar, is-she-or-isn't-she a lesbian Ellen Page, and Alia Shawkat's very own rendition of Journey's over-exposed classic "Don't Stop Believin.'"
Filmed in what seems like a series of dirty apartments, shoddy back alleys, and other various Los Angeles landmarks, this homemade music video features Juno's Ellen Page delivering a faux Jewel-meets-Shakira vocal performance. Alia Shawkat -- famous for playing Portia de Rossi's daughter Maebe on Arrested Development -- is not in this gem for it's entirety but does appear as the damsel in distress who sits in her window peering at what looks like a forlorn Ellen on the street below (wishful thinking? Maybe. Maybe not).
The only thing better than the tension between those two is Page's train conductor hat and the fact that no one sings in time to the music through the video's entirety. It's not all about the girls though -- Har Mar Superstar appears in nothing but a tasteful bathrobe and then somehow appears as a pizza deliveryman later on. I don't know how it works...but it certainly does.
