Will Arizona and Callie still be together after their on/again, off/again romance last season? Will Derek and Meredith find out that they are pregnant again following Mer’s unfortunate miscarriage in the season six finale? Will Christina and Owen take the next step in their relationship a la the marriage route? Will Izzie return to Alex or with another woman (or even at all)? Anything is possible in season seven. Grey’s Anatomy series creator and executive producer Shonda Rhimes had the following to say about Derek finding out about Meredith’s miscarriage in the season six finale. “The man was shot and he’s already feeling [responsible] for getting a bunch of people killed. So for her to tell him that the shooting also caused her miscarriage seems a little bit cruel. He doesn’t need one more thing to worry about.” Insiders say that Meredith will end up telling Derek, but not in the first episode of the season.

More news has also been leaked about our favorite ABC lesbian couple. Arizona and Callie will move in together. Callie currently lives with Cristina, but with her impending nuptials to Owen, that may all change. Rhimes reveals that “some stuff happens with their careers that’s going to take them in opposite directions possibly.”

While Arizona and Callie aren’t preparing for their gay marriage just yet, Cristina and Owen are taking the lead down the aisle. One member of the team doesn’t quite agree with the move.

Ellen Pompeo’s character Meredith is not a happy camper. "Meredith is worried that Cristina is getting married for the wrong reasons [and thinks that she is] still traumatized after [the shooting]." Pompeo continued, "She's rushing into marriage, which does not seem like the right move. It's not that she doesn't want her with Owen...There's just a little too much change there and Meredith is worried about Cristina's stability."

As for Alex and Izzie’s tumultuous relationship, Rhimes suggested that Alex would become a better person this season.

“We’re going to approach it pretty carefully. I want however we deal with Alex growing up and moving on and moving past that relationship to feel authentic. Not to feel like something that’s patched together.”

Will Heigl return to Grey’s this season?

Rhimes made one comment to address the question on everyone’s minds by revealing the simple, “I don’t know.”
