In true lesbian form, after only having been dating for only a few short months, Rosie O'Donnell and her new girlfriend, Tracy Kachtick-Anders, are making plans to move in together.
On an upcoming Oprah Show airing Monday, the comedian and former talk show host sits down with Oprah to dish on her new lesbian love, her breakup after 12 years with Kelli Carpenter and co-parenting their four children Parker, 14; Chelsea, 12; Blake, 10; and Vivienne Rose, 7.
Just on the heels of premiering her 40-minute documentaryA Family is a Family is a Family: A Rosie O'Donnell Celebration, Rosie shows no signs of slowing down. According to People, Rosie, 47, explained to Oprah that as soon as she laid eyes on Tracy, she knew without a doubt that it was love at first sight, "So she got out of the car in Miami and I was, like, zoinks, you know, because she's absolutely gorgeous and, I don't know, I felt like I knew her right away. It was very odd."
When Oprah asked Rosie if she wants Tracy to live with her, Rosie answered, "Yes, as soon as we can arrange the kids' thing where she lives in Texas, you know." Rosie has 4 kids and Tracy has 6.
As far as her sudden exit from The View in 2007, Rosie tells Oprah that when it came to confronting her boss Barbara Walters: "And for me at that moment, if I had been braver, I would have just cried and said you really hurt my feelings."
Rosie scored when she met Tracy, a Texas-based artist and like O'Donnell, she is active in LGBT parenting and adoption issues, as well as launching the Open Arms Campaign, a non-profit organization to recruit and foster adoptive families that targets the LGBT community.
It is safe to assume that Rosie's new main squeeze is supportive of the actress's endeavors because on Tuesday Rosie unveiled her new HBO documentary about family diversity at a special screening with Kelli the kids in New York. A Family is a Family is a Family illuminates the remarkable diversity of families today that challenges stereotypes, highlighting same-sex parents, mixed-heritage families, single parents and stories of adoption. Children speak from the heart about parents, siblings, marriage and love.
When Rosie and Tracy hire the U-Haul and move in together, their brood will be 12 and counting...
