Marie Osmond to Oprah at her Lesbian Daughter's Request: 'My Son was not Gay'

Marie Osmond tells Oprah Winfrey that her late son wasn't gay and wasn't under the influence of drugs when he committed suicide last February. The singer said that her son, Michael Blosil, who was 18 years old when he jumped from the eighth-floor window of a Los Angeles apartment building, was not gay and "wanted to be married and have a family and travel all over the world." She went on to say, "And it wouldn't matter if he was — I have a daughter who's gay."

Marie Osmond tells Oprah Winfrey that her late son wasn't gay and wasn't under the influence of drugs when he committed suicide last February, reports Us magazine.

Osmond gave an emotional interview to Winfrey on her daytime program, which aired today. She said her daughter "was the most offended by [the rumors]," adding that her daughter Jessica felt they implied that "everyone who's gay commits suicide."

"My son was clean when he jumped," Osmond said of her son, who had previously been in rehab. "There were no drugs in his system, but I believe the ramifications were there."
