Nicole Pacent, star of hit lesbian web series
Anyone But Me, joins the cast of new feature film and episodic series,
Queens of the World.
Pacent will play Maggie Connor, a rising soccer star. She plays opposite Nikki Caster (Cherry Bomb), Elizabeth Keener (The L Word), and Meghan Hall (Sweet Adventures of Nat & Meg).
Queens of the World tell the "Notebook-esque" love story of two female athletes who are separated by violence as they strive to compete in the Women's Professional Soccer arena.
Pacent was recently voted First Runner Up for SheWired’s 2009 Gay Woman of the Year, nominated as Best Actress in a Supporting Role in the 2010 Indie Soap Awards and as Best Actress in Cherry Grrl’s Reader’s Choice Awards for her work on Anyone But Me.
Pacent will next appear at The Dinah with her QOTW cast mates, making red carpet appearances for Queens t; and Anyone But Me, as well as appearing in a live reading of the QOTW script, which will be followed by a Q&A and appearances alongside other Dinah celebrities, such as: performing artists: Kesha, Paradiso Girls, Salt&Peppa; comedians: Rosie O‘Donnell, Susanne Westenhoefer, Gloria Bigelow, Erin Foley; and actresses: Elizabeth Keener, Thea Gill, Jill Bennett and Cathy DeBuono throughout the weeklong soiree in Palm Springs, California.
Queens was written and will be directed by Mel Robertson, producer of the Academy Award-winning film Christmas Wish List, Screenwriting Winner of The New York Independent Film and Video Festival for Heroine and multiple award-winning director of the dark new media project, FEED.
