Primetime TV Lesbians on Hold Until the New Year

An all important guide to your favorite primetime lesbians like Grey's Anatomy's Callie Torres, FlashForward's FBI Agent Janis Hawk, V's Hottie MILF Elizabeth Mitchell plus Glee's insane Sue Sylvester and more who are going away from your TV schedule until the New Year...

Can’t wait to see more of primetime lesbians Callie Torres? FBI Agent Janis Hawk? Hottie MILF Elizabeth Mitchell? The insane Sue Sylvester? Well you’re going to have to wait to see your favorite ladies of primetime until after the New Year — and more.

With the holidays quickly approaching, the broadcast networks are raising the white flag and going the seasonal programming route: repeats and Christmas-themed programming like they do every year.

Fans of ABC’s FlashForward learned Thursday that the show, instead of returning in January after the holiday break, that the time-travel sci-fi drama co-starring Christine Woods as the lesbian FBI Agent Janis Hawk won’t return to the primetime schedule until March.

The same goes for the network’s V, starring Mitchell as a detective rallying the troops to fight the invasion of seemingly do-no-wrong alien visitors as the rookie drama won’t return until March 30, when it will follow Mitchell’s previous hit show, Lost at 10 p.m. Tuesdays.

And fans of the lesbian doctors and the rest of the staff of Seattle Grace Hospital, Grey’s Anatomy aired its lastoriginal episode of 2009 last week. Callie and her hottie girlfriend Dr. Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw) won’t be back until Jan. 14.

For fans of Fox’s freshman phenom, Glee, there’s still one episode remaining this year before the show goes on hiatus until April. That’s right, April 13, when Lynch and company will be paired with the return of TV ratings juggernaut American Idol and new judge, Ellen DeGeneres, making Wednesday night on Fox “Must Glee TV” again.

But don’t fret, Glee has a special holiday gift for you: The cast’s version of Wham’s 1984 track “Last Christmas.”

So hunker down with reruns — and maybe even the “Glee: The Music Volume 2” soundtrack, which bows Dec. 9 and prepare for a Glee marathon when Glee, Vol. 1: Road to Sectionals comes out on DVD on Dec. 29.

As for the months in between, which lovelies will you be watching?
