Sarah McLachlan's Releases Video for New Single 'One Dream'

Whenever I think of my often ridiculous pop culture dreams, I think of the homeless guy in Pretty Woman: "Welcome to Hollywood! What's your dream? Everybody got to have a dream."

And one of my biggest dreams is coming true: Sarah McLachlan, the lovely founder of Lilith Fair, is back — and not just with a slate of summer festival dates that includes my hometown of L.A. Today, McLachlan released the video for her new single — that's right, I said NEW SINGLE — "One Dream."

The video gives uber fans — like me — a good look at the newly single Vancouver native McLachlan and also doubles as a marketing tool for next month's Winter Olympics, which will be held in Vancouver.

It's refreshing to see Sarah making new music and supporting the Olympics with such a great video: simple and artistic and completely inspiring with lots of heart.

And it's a welcome change from the B.C.'s SPCA End Animal Cruelty commercials that have gotten so hard to watch that I have to fast-forward them.

Although the "Cheating Men" parody of the McLachlan spot — starring out comic Fortune Feimster as our favorite Canadian animal lover — makes me giggle every time.
