Make a date with your couch tonight! Sarah Shahi, the hottie who played Carmen on The L Word, stars as Kate Reed in USA's new series Fairly Legal, and it premieres tonight!

Shahi seems to be the perfect fit as charismatic Kate Reed, helping the new show fit USA's formula for shows: gorgeous people playing oddball-ish characters.

Shahi's character is a litigator who decided to become a mediator, and began working at the company founded by her father, who passes away at the start of the premiere. Her stepmother Lauren (Virginia Williams), who does not share the same world views as Kate, is now in charge. 

But so much for worrying about the plot! Its just exciting that weekly doses of Shahi have returned! There are plenty of shots of Kate staring off into the distance, and Shahi's performance is outstanding. A review of the show from Hollywood Chicago says "Ultimately, the pilot of Fairly Legal passes the only test that it needs to: I’ll watch it again next week. The most important element of a program like this one, especially on USA, is in place in Sarah Shahi’s performance. Only time will tell if the program around her can rise to her level."
