'True Blood's' Lesbian Vampire Queen Evan Rachel Wood

Mark your calendars True Blood fans. On August 30th, HBO's hit series True Blood will introduce hot new lesbian Vampire Queen Sophie-Anne Leclerq to blood-lusting fans.

Evan Rachel Wood will be playing sultry, seductive vampire queen Sophie-Anne. If her steamy gorgeousness isn't enough just in itself, Miss Sophie-Anne will be the show's first openly lesbian character. 

Wood says Sophie-Anne is "the Vampire Queen of Louisiana... she's kind of a cross between Patrick Bateman and Paris Hilton. She's crazy... and she's a lesbian." No word so far on whether Wood will have a regular love interest on the show, although she did tell Movieline she will have a regular girl snack on hand when she feels peckish.

We don’t want to spoil it if you haven’t yet read the Sookie Stackhouse book series, but the novels do feature interesting twists for Sophie-Anne that should prove delightful for lesbian fans if the TV series follows the plotline for her character. As the series doesn’t tend to stick all that much to the books though, the possibilities are endless for applause and outrage. 

Sadly there aren't any sneak peak videos of Sophie-Anne's lesbian deliciousness out there yet. But HBO has graciously released a few promo pics of Evan Rachel Wood hamming it up as the sexy vampire queen on True Blood. Wood will be appearing in several episodes this season and she’ll be returning as a recurring character for the next season as well. Bravo to HBO for continuing to represent! 

If the pics are this yummy, we can't wait to see Sophie-Anne in action hunting down some luscious, sweet thing to bring home for dinner!
