Pete and Chasten Buttigieg celebrated Christmas and rung in the new year as a family with their newly adopted twins, Joseph August and Penelope Rose!

"2021 brought with it many challenges, but it also gave us a lot to be grateful for," Chasten shared on Instagram. "Happy New Year, friends. Here's to a peaceful and joyful 2022."

Unfortunately, this innocent post brought out some homophobes. 

"Someone gave these [censored] kids???" read one comment. "Holy [censored.]"

The commenter, Andre Kravchenko, wasn't too bright as he posted the words from his real account with his name and employer listed. Chasten screenshotted the comment and posted them on his story, censoring out the profanities. He then wrote, "In the year 2022, you'd think these people would be wise enough to post their homophobia from an alt account, not one easily connected to their job. Rather embarrassing for @AmericanHomes4Rent, a company that claims to be an equal housing provider and one that's 'building a culture of inclusion and belonging.' I worry for your tenants."

According to Advocate, followers have left a slew of comments on his employer, Skyline Properties, as well as American Homes 4 Rent's Instagram posts, all calling out Kravchenko. "Unacceptable behavior by your employee," one wrote. "The inclusion training has not worked."

AH4R has yet to respond, but Skyline got defensive, writing back, "Skyline could not possibly know what 1,200 of our independent contractors could be doing at any given moment." They did say they would "have a conversation with the broker."

Kravchenko's account is currently listed as unavailable.
