"The lesbians now bow down to you,” said Brandi Carlile.

Alicia Keys is finally responding to Janet Jackson saying she would date her — 14 years later!

The “Girl on Fire” singer recently took to Instagram to share an old Digital Spy article from 2008 with the headline “Janet Jackson admits to Alicia Keys crush.”

“I always knew I was BAE But when @janetjackson says it,” she captioned the post, throwing in some explosion emojis for good measure.

The article itself referenced E! Online asking Janet who she would be in a relationship with if she were to date a woman.

“I think I would pick Alicia Keys,” she replied. “I think she’s wonderful.”

It wasn't immediately clear whether Alicia just now stumbled across this article for the first time or if she just pulled it out as a clever way to draw attention to Janet’s new documentary, which she also mentioned in her post.

Either way, people were jazzed to see this pairing idea make a comeback so many years later.

“Ok. Props for life - the lesbians now bow down to you,” Brandi Carlile commented on the pic.

“Well, hot dayumn!!!!!!! …. Where is the lie?” asked West Side Story's Ariana DeBose. “Gorgeous gorgeous women. Yes.”

Another Instagram user wrote, “The confidence to call yourself BAE and then have it validated by Janet must be otherworldly.”

Otherworldly, but definitely earned.
