Demi Lovato still identifies as nonbinary but has now updated her pronouns to reflect how she currently feels.

During an interview with the Spout podcast, Lovato explained that she has updated her pronouns to she/her at this point in time.

The “SKIN OF MY TEETH” singer noted that she’s currently using she/her pronouns because “recently I've been feeling more feminine.”

Lovato also commented on the fact that many people are still getting used to asking for people’s preferred pronouns and using them. She said:

“I think what’s important is, like, nobody’s perfect. Everyone messes up pronouns at some point, and especially when people are learning, it’s just all about respect.”

Regarding her previous choice of using they/them pronouns, Lovato recalled:

“When I was faced with the choice of walking into a bathroom and it said ‘women’ and ‘men,’ I didn’t feel like there was a bathroom for me because I didn’t feel necessarily like a woman. I didn’t feel like a man. I just felt like a human. And that’s what they/them is about. For me, it’s just about feeling human at your core.”

Meanwhile, Lovato is currently preparing to release her eighth studio album, Holy Fvck, on August 19. So far, she has released two incredible singles: “SKIN OF MY TEETH” and “SUBSTANCE.” The full album will include a total of 16 tracks and will feature collaborations with the likes of Yungblud, Royal & The Serpent, and Dead Sara.

Lovatics will always love and support Demi Lovato throughout her career and journey in life, no matter which pronouns she prefers to use. We stan a talented queer popstar with an endless catalog of bops!
