Gleeks around the world rejoice! Lady Gaga is hitting the small screen and will appear on an upcoming episode of Glee.
The Advocate reports that the 23-year-old bisexual singer has been revealed as one of the stars slated to make a cameo on the show.
Ryan Murphy, Glee's writer and director, explained to E! how the idea came about, "We're doing an episode that's a tribute to theatricality. We reached out to Lady Gaga and she said, 'Yes, I'd love to be a part of it.' So we will be doing Lady Gaga this season."
Stars are lining up to snag a guest spot at the infamous William McKinley High School. Glee has become the show to appear on from Neil Patrick Harris, Molly Shannon and to Jennifer Lopez and Olivia Newton-John and now Lady Gaga. And best of all, the hit singing sensation still houses one of our lesbian favorites, Jane Lynch, as the cunning and brash Sue Sylvester.
How Gaga's involvement on Glee will manifest itself has not yet been revealed, but we hope it has the stamina and candor of her "Telephone" video with Beyonce!
Murphy has also said that pretty woman Julia Roberts could also be filled with Glee, "She saw the rough cuts and fell in love with the show.
"I don't know if Julia's going to do it - maybe."
