Jennifer Capriati, once the top ranked women’s tennis player in the world, was hospitalized after a suspected prescription drug overdose over the weekend, TMZ is reporting.

The tennis prodigy, 34, was rushed to a Florida hospital after paramedics responded to a call for a possible overdose.

Capriati, made international headlines by going pro at 13, and amassing a resume highlighted by 14 career titles, including three Grand Slams, and a gold medal at the 1992 Olympics.

Unfortunately, drug and legal problems plagued the star through most of her career.

According to ABC News, she voluntarily entered a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in 1994, two days after her arrest on a misdemeanor charge of marijuana possession. However, it was alleged at the time that Capriati was using harder drugs like heroin, crack cocaine, alcohol and painkillers.

In 1996, she staged a comeback, earning a No. 1 world ranking and capturing three Grand Slam titles 2001-2002.

Capriati played her last professional match in 2004 before undergoing shoulder surgery. And by her third shoulder surgery in 2007, she had given up hopes of another comeback at age 30.
