Day 14 and I’m convinced that Canada is doing everything to sabotage the Olympics.
First the weather: There was no snow before, now there is too much snow-so much that the women’s giant slalom was a giant mess for both Americans.
Cameras took shots of Lindsey Vonn (BG) as a gray blur coming down the mountain. Her downhill ski caught a rut and she skidded, flipped and plowed into the retaining fence.
That same snow had prompted officials to decrease times between runs and Julia Mancuso started her first run only to be given a yellow flag halfway down because Vonn was still against the fence with medical checking her out. Long story short: Vonn disqualified because it’s best of two runs and Mancuso has to ski one and a half runs to post her first time. That didn’t make her very happy and she tweeted about it:
"that yellow flag in the GS was such... I just want to scream. I'm really miffed. Anyway, gotta take that energy and focus it for 2nd run."
"Even if I stopped at the top, when they realized, 'Oh, she looks hurt,' then at least I'm only skiing 10 seconds, and I can figure out a way to get back up," Mancuso said. "We're pushing 100 percent or more for 50 seconds -- that's like running an extra 400-meter sprint and then having to go up five minutes later and do it again."

If you don’t believe me about the weather then how about this little gem: Canada reduced a Danish curler to tears. Here’s a game that’s supposed to be civilized. Here’s a cute blond Danish curler named Madeleine Dupont. Here’s a rowdy Canada crowd stomping and yelling so much that Dupont missed two potentially game-winning shots and through tears blamed the fans.
That’s it! This means war…and you know who’s gonna bring it? Women’s USA hockey, baby. 4:30ET Thursday-25th gold medal game versus the villainous Canucks. Game on!!!
