Stop what you’re doing, a new Harry Styles music video has dropped!

The former boy bander released the visual companion to his song “Daylight” off Harry’s House this week, taking viewers on a fanciful journey through the afternoon of a performer at a traveling circus.

The song itself centers around a relationship where the singer just can’t seem to connect with his love interest, as he sings, “you were just doing cocaine / in my kitchen, you never listen / I hope you’re missing me by now.”

Combined with the repetition of “Daylight, you got me cursing the daylight” throughout the chorus, the lyrics feel like the complete opposite of the bright colors of the circus and playful affection between Styles and its performers. But as is often the case, he somehow makes it work.

Styles actually collaborated with James Corden to make a music video for “Daylight” in just three hours and for $300 last year. The result was something with a far more low-key vibe, albeit still well-loved for how silly the process of making things come together ultimately was.

The official video for “Daylight” becomes the fifth single from Harry’s House to get a real music video of its own, following the May release of his video for “Satellite.”

Styles is also set to wrap up his most recent tour this weekend with a final performance in Reggio Emilia, Italy, after a lengthy run that started in the fall of 2021.
