"When The Doctor summons me, I am compelled to answer."

RuPaul's Drag Race Season 5 and All Stars 7 winner Jinkx Monsoon is taking over the world – perhaps literally in the upcoming season of Doctor Who.

Last month, it was announced that the nonbinary drag legend had a "significant role" in the upcoming 60th anniversary season.

"In a galaxy of comets and supernovas, here comes the biggest star of all. Jinkx Monsoon is on a collision course with the TARDIS, and Doctor Who will never be the same again," showrunner Russell T Davies said in a statement. "I'm honored, thrilled, and utterly excited to join 'Doctor Who!' Russell T. Davies is a visionary and a brilliant writer — I can't wait to get into the weeds with him and the crew! I hope there's room in the TARDIS for my luggage," Monsoon added.

Now, we know that Monsoon will play a villain, and she shared some first-look photos on social media. "When The Doctor summons me, I am compelled to answer," she captioned the two images.

The official Doctor Who and BBC Twitter accounts also shared a brief video of Monsoon in costume. "I'm Jinkx Monsoon and this is my costume for Doctor Who," she says with a maniacal laugh.

She's set to star in the anniversary special alongside series staples David Tennant, Catherine Tate, and Jodie Foster, as well as a slew of LGBTQ+ castmates including Sex Education star Ncuti Gatwa and Heartstopper’s Yasmin Finney as Rose

The upcoming season of television is still in production and is expected to premiere this November. You can watch a teaser trailer below:
