Nobody can drag him down!

Niall Horan is gearing up for an all-new era with his upcoming album The Show. It will serve as his third solo record and first album in three years.

"Fans are getting a new version of me [and] the gradual progression that I've been able to make musically and as a person over the last five years. It's definitely a more mature sound, but it's still me! It sounds different, but it's still Niall," Horan tells PRIDE.

Ever since his debut as one of the five members of the massively popular boy band One Direction, Horan has amassed millions of devoted fans that have supported him since 2010.

"I'm 13 years in and they're still there listening and engaged. I'm having more fun with it than ever. The older I get, the more grateful you get. It's been an amazing ride I definitely don't want to stop. I want to stick around forever and keep having fun with them."

With five successful albums and countless bops under One Direction's belt, Horan revealed his favorite songs that he still listens to today.

"'Stockholm Syndrome' was a deep cut from the records. A lot of deep cuts, songs that a lot of people don't know [like] 'Fireproof.' 'Drag Me Down' [and] 'Story of My Life' are good ones. There's a lot of songs!"

Die-hard fans of Horan's also know that he's admitted to recording in the nude for various studio sessions while part of One Direction. He even recorded "What Makes You Beautiful" in his underwear! But, did he return to his naked form when recording his new album?

"There was definitely a lot of shirtless stuff going on for sure. We recorded in Joshua Tree in the middle of the summer, so it was very hot. It was like 110° most of the time. I'm not sure about full naked. I used to do that quite a bit, but that's not acceptable really. The issue was, there was a lot of footage to back that up. I let people in on the secret. I'm not proud of it!"

It's safe to say Horan's shenanigans aren't just going on in the studio. The singer is also having a ton of fun and gaining even more fans as one of the current coaches on The Voice.

"It's been brilliant! I didn't know how I was going to be. I'm sitting next to coaches that have been doing it a long time and I got very lucky with the coaches that I got my first season with. It's just been a blast on and off camera. It's been one of the better experiences I've had."

Although this is Horan's first season, it's the final season for OG coach Blake Shelton. The two have formed a friendship while filming this season, with Blake hazing the newbie quite a bit.

"It's a barrel of madness. I give it right back to him! It feels like it's gone by so fast. If the schedule permits, I'd do another [season] for sure. I'm going to miss Blake though! He's starting to feel it now. He's probably starting to get emotional."

Between a new album and filming The Voice, the star is still dedicated to seeing his fans throughout the rest of the year with an upcoming tour currently in the works.

"I'm doing a lot of festivals this summer. There will be a lot of opportunities, especially in the States. I love festivals, they're the best! There's a tour in the pipeline. I'm working on it right now and I'll be letting people know hopefully soon. It'll be just good to get back on the road doing what I love. Doing shows all over the world is something that I just can't wait to do again. It's the best feeling."

The future is certainly looking bright as Horan continues to rise in the industry. In fact, he's manifesting big achievements as he continues to progress in music.

"I would like a number one album if anyone's listening! I would like a sold-out tour. I just like the whole shock factor when things go good. I would like to be in a conversation for a Grammy maybe one day. That's something that's on my bucket list. That would get me through a lot!"

The Show drops June 1 and The Voice is currently airing on NBC. To see the full interview with Niall Horan, check out the videos above and below.
